Finding A Place of Abundance

Several months ago, life seemed to take a complete 180 degree turn. All that I had planned was suddenly ripped out from under me and I was back to square one. I was a semester away from graduating college and it seemed as though the Lord decided to take me on a new journey...one that I didn't quite see coming. Regardless, we started on this new journey to find a place of abundance! Looking back at it now I do not regret a single part of this journey! Over these several months I have found what it means to find a place of abundance. I have found that my place of abundance is when I am sitting at His feet and allowing Him to create me into His image.

I remember reading in the Old Testament in Exodus 3:17 where it says, "And I have promised to bring you up out of your misery in Egypt into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites-a land flowing with milk and honey."As I read that, I remember begging the Lord to bring me out of my misery and into a land of abundance. Over the next several days the Lord gently showed me that my place of abundance would only be found in sitting at his feet and falling in love with him. No future plans, no relationship, no job, no money could give me an abundant life. Only HIM. Its funny, though, the Israelites did not reach their abundant land easily. They had to fight for their land. Even once they were living in their land, they had to protect their place of abundance. My prayer is that I would continue to fight for my time with the Lord and that I would protect my place of abundance. So as I type these words, I pray that they will encourage you to sit at His feet and find your place of abundance. I pray that you will realize (as I am every single day) my time with the King of the Universe is far more valuable than time spent anywhere else. My desire is for a place of abundance: a place of knowing Christ more intimately.
